This accredited qualification has been designed with children and young people in mind and aims to tackle sigma and the youth mental heath crisis.
The qualification is suitable for anyone who actively connects with children and young people such as parents, carers, teachers, youth group leaders and young adults themselves.
Covering areas such as anxiety, depression, self-harm, eating disorders, participants will also explore the impact of bullying,drugs or alcohol and social media.
Each learner will also recieve a FREE 90 page E-book and other resources to help develop the knowledge and skills to identify a potential mental condition, start a supportive conversation and provide guidance to professional help.

- Defining youth mental health
- Identify factors that can affect a young person’s mental health
- Understand the stigma surrounding mental health
- Identify factors that can affect a young person's mental health
- Understand the role of a first aider for mental health
- Outline the advice that should be provided to a person suffering from a suspected mental health condition
- Know when to contact emergency services
- Identify signs of stress and how stress can be managed
- Identify signs and symptoms for the following mental health conditions; depression, anxiety, psychosis, eating disorders, suicide and self harm.
- Effects of alcohol and drug abuse on a person's mental health
- Demonstrate the application of the first aid action plan for mental health
